This year one of the regular NSW Junior Training camps is to be held right here in our own backyard! The aim is to prepare young orienteers to do their best at the NSW Middle and Long Championships (which of course are both being held here immediately after the camp). It will also of course be a great chance for local kids who enjoy orienteering to meet others with similar interests, and to realise that Orienteering is not just some weird Armidale thing!

The camp will be on Wednesday 18 April to Friday 20 April and is to be based at NEGS, with accommodation available at one of the boarding houses. However locals do not have to live in, and can participate in all the training exercises very cheaply.

Who can attend

Anyone from age 10 to 20 years can attend. Parents are welcome and encouraged to be involved - all primary school aged attendees must have a parent or guardian present.

The Program

Wednesday - late afternoon/early evening (Sessions 1 & 2)
Thursday- morning, afternoon and night (Sessions 3, 4 & 5)
Friday - morning only (Session 6)

You can read the official information flyer here, but instead of entering online as expected on the flyer, you can use this entry form.

Please Note: Entering the training camp does not include entry to the events on the weekend of 21-22 April – they require on-line entry via Eventor. If not familiar with this system you may need to get help from a senior club member.
